Finished: Deku Shield
Today I’d like to announce that I’ve completed a project I haven’t mentioned before on this website! It’s the “Deku Shield” from the Legend of Zelda series, particularly inspired by the Nintendo 64 version of Ocarina of Time.
Some of you have already seen previews while I was working on this, and it’s been a work-in-progress for several months, but it’s finally done! Here’s your first look at the finished result!

I’m super happy with the way this turned out. This is made from low-density EVA foam, multiple layers of gesso primer, quality paints, and both matte and gloss clear coats to protect the result.
If you like it, keep an eye on the NinjyProps social media and this website — I’ll detail everything I did to get this shield to where it is today, step by step, in the coming weeks and months.
Projects like these take time and money. I have a lot of the former, but very little of the latter. If you want to continue to see quality builds like this, please consider supporting NinjyProps by following us on social media and liking and sharing our posts — sending gifts of art books or game guides, all of which are good reference material — or a financial contribution, either one-time through paypal.me or recurring through patreon. Thanks!
